Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires [Paperback]
Esther Hicks (Author), Jerry Hicks (Author), Wayne W. Dyer (Foreward)

Paperback: 320 pages
Publisher: Hay House (October 1, 2004)
Language: English

For almost 20 years Jerry and Esther Hicks have been presenting workshops, producing tapes and writing books to help people create the life they desire. And desire is no small word in this agenda.

According to the teachings of “Abraham”–a collective name for the spiritual entities that are channeled through Esther–desire is a good and natural force within us. In fact, we are all here to fulfill our desires, according to Abraham. Yet the reason so much of us feel frustrated, is that we have difficulty knowing how to ask and receive whatever we want to be, do or have.

Although Jerry and Esther are listed as the authors, Ask and It Is Given is actually a collection of channeled messages from Abraham. Fans of Abraham and the Hicks may not find new information, but will probably be delighted to have an inspiring, updated book that speaks to the familiar conversation of attracting the life we want. Newcomers may also be intrigued by this excellent, in-depth discussion on how to change one’s life by matching the vibrational energy of one’s desires–taking the power of positive thinking to a whole new level.

Because this material is channeled, it often reads like The Power of Now or A Course in Miracles–not a fast food book to be devoured in one sitting. Rather, this is a book to be read in passages, with a soothing gestation period in between. It includes much advice on working with energy and emotions as well as specific chapters on increasing prosperity, reclaiming health, working with meditation, and clearing clutter for clarity.

For those who are onboard with the “Laws of Attraction” and the “Art of Receiving” that Abraham speaks of, this could be one of those deliciously mysterious books that you can open to any page and it seems to offer the exact advice or insight you need right now.

Grand Key of Solomon the King: Ancient Handbook of Angel Magic and Djinn Summoning
Hardcover: 222 pages
Publisher: Ishtar Publishing (November 27, 2009)
Language: English

The enchanting tales of 1001 Arabian Nights and the mysterious magical societies of the Moors share a legendary figure. He is no other than Asaph Ben Berechiah, the Vizier of King Solomon himself.

According to Islamic tradition, this Arabian Merlin bested a djinn in a magical contest, teleporting Queen Sheeba’s throne in the blink of an eye, using his knowledge of the Great Name.

Through the ages masters of the forbidden art of djinn evocation have shared with their disciples in secrecy an extensive oral tradition of rituals, incantations, and magical implements belonging to Asaph Ben Berechiah.

Fragments of these arcane mysteries could be found in the writing of master occultists from the Middle Ages, the likes of Ahmed al-Buni. Few and far between, many have treasured what little fragments of this oral tradition could be found. There were also whispers of a grimoire compiled by an anonymous Arabian wizard brimming with secrets of the magic of Asaph Ben Berechiah.

Known only as Ajnas, its reputation grew, but few possessed it. It has resurfaced in recent years and remains one of the most popular guides to angelic and djinn evocation in the land of the Arabian nights.

O seeker of the art of the masters, you needn’t wait centuries for this important grimoire to be available in English as has happened with Ghayat al-Hakim (Picatrix). Right now, you are beholding an accurate and complete translation of Ajnas waiting for its secrets to be unlocked by the disciples of today and the masters of tomorrow.

This small book, which has been in print continuously since 1970, is a great resource for any mage or witch. Packed with hundreds of spells, incantations, talismans, and charms — most of them gleaned from European, Middle-Eastern, and Indian books dating to the Middle Ages or earlier — this volume can be used as a grimoire in its own right, especially by newbies. In addition, because the spells are annotatated by source and there is a lengthy bibliography, the book also functions as a pointer to the rare, scholarly, and out-of-print texts the author consulted and which the advanced student will wish to read. Don’t let the small size and low price turn you off — this is a valuable grimoire worth at least twice its cost.

Inorganic (Landolt-Börnstein: Numerical Data and Functional Relationships in Science and Technology – New Series / Condensed Matter)
Hardcover: 525 pages
Publisher: Springer; 1 edition (April 7, 2009)
Language: English

Volume 43 of Group III deals with crystallographic data of both intermetallic and classical inorganic compounds, thus forming an update of the former Landolt-Börnstein volumes III/6 (Structure Data of Elements and Intermetallic Phases) and III/7 (Crystal Structure Data of Inorganic Compounds).

It does not include compounds that contain C-H bonds. Moreover, in contrast to the earlier edition the present volume presents the data in a different, more modern arrangement – known crystal structures are combined in groups according to their type of structure; each structure type is therefore represented by a complete set of crystallographic data holding for all isotypic structures, with the data comprising space group, cell parameters and atom coordinates. Remarks, descriptions and figures are provided where necessary.

The present subvolume A 7, which utilizes the databases TYPIX and Pauling File, forms the seventh contribution to volume 43, which is going to be published in a series of subvolumes. Subvolumes A 1 – A 6 are already available.

The present volume in the New Series of Landolt-Börnstein provides critically evaluated data on phase diagrams, crystallographic and thermodynamic data of ternary alloy systems. Reliable phase diagrams provide materials scientists and engineers with basic information important for fundamental research, development and optimization of materials.

The often conflicting literature data have been critically evaluated by Materials Science International Team, MSIT®, a team working together since many years, and with expertise in a broad range of methods, materials and applications. All evaluation reports published here have undergone a thorough review process in which the reviewers had access to all the original data.

The data for each ternary system are provided in a standard format which includes text, tables and diagrams. The topics presented are literature data, binary systems, solid phases, pseudobinary systems, invariant equilibria, liquidus, solidus, and solvus surfaces, isothermal sections, temperature-composition sections, thermodynamics, materials properties and applications, and miscellanea. Finally, a detailed bibliography of all cited references is provided.

In the present volume IV/11C selected non-ferrous-metal systems are considered, especially selected copper systems in this Part 2.

Ternary Alloy Systems
Volume 11 of group IV presents phase diagrams, crystallographic and thermodynamic data of ternary alloy systems. The subvolume D deals with iron systems, with part 1 considering selected systems from Al-B-Fe to C-Co-Fe. At ambient pressure the equilibria of each individual ternary system are discussed as functions of temperature yielding spatial diagrams whose sections and projections are displayed The phase equilibria are described in terms of liquidus, solidus and solvus projections, isothermal, vertical and quasibinary sections. Data on invariant equilibria are generally given in the form of tables and reaction schemes.

The volume forms a comprehensive review and rigorous systematization of the presently available data. For each system the often conflicting literature and contradictory information has been thoroughly evaluated by a team of experts, MSIT, and can thus be presented in a standard format. Back to the year 1900 the literature has been reviewed, implying possible reinterpretations from today’s state of knowledge, and incorporated in the volume. The tables and diagrams are preceded by descriptive commenting texts.
